HOW 90 DAYS OF POWER 90 CHANGED MY BODY AND SAVED MY LIFE
Okay, I finished my 90-day commitment with Power 90 and I can’t believe the results! This program really works!!! So allow me to begin by explaining how things were before Power 90… How Can I Get Fit Fast?
I am 48 years old, 6′ 2 1/2″ tall and before Power 90 my weight fluctuated anywhere between 247 and 260 lbs. I wore very tight size 40″ waist pants that were about to be replaced by size 42, and XL shirts and sweaters that were also getting tight. I was suffering from a ruptured disk in my lower back and my doctor told me I had to go through some extensive physical therapy if I ever wanted to play golf or ski again. In addition, I found out that I had a blood pressure of 120/80 in my right arm and a blood pressure of 154/106 in my left arm. If you think that is odd, you are entirely correct. Not only did I have high blood pressure, but it also appeared that I had an arterial blockage on the right side of my chest between my Aorta and my Carotid Artery that was going to require surgery. I routinely had shortness of breath anytime I exerted myself, including simply walking up the stairs in my home. I even passed out on the floor a couple times, once in front of my two year old granddaughter. It was at this point that I realized I was going downhill fast and if I wanted to hang around long enough to see my grandchildren grow up, I would need to take some decisive action.
Not only was I fed up with always feeling tired and sick, but I was also fed up with my unattractive, overweight appearance. So on 8/22/2010, I committed to the Power90 program and I promised myself I would suck it up and stick it out for the FULL 90 days, no matter what. I will admit that it wasn’t always easy sticking to the plan and the 6-day workout schedule. There were days that I just wanted to be lazy and make excuses instead of working out. There were days that I wanted to blow my meal plan and eat things that weren’t good for me, but made me feel good for the moment. The temptations were always there, but I was committed and I did what Tony Horton told me to do… I just pushed play and did my best, then forgot about the rest. In fact, I actually walked around my house before every workout saying out loud “Just Push Play” over and over and over again. This helped me a lot and I didn’t miss a single workout, not one. Even when I stayed home sick from work, I dragged myself out of bed and pushed play. That is how committed I was to succeeding with this program. And when I finished my workout, I went back to bed.
At the 30 day mark, I started to see noticeable results in my appearance, and my weight started falling fast. It was at this point that I really got motivated and decided I was not going to allow anything to get in my way. I also noticed that I actually started looking forward to pushing play and working out instead of dreading it.
Not only did I feel an incredible sense of accomplishment after every workout, but I actually started to feel better, stronger and suddenly had more energy too! This was an unexpected, but pleasant surprise. It took me nearly 60 days to graduate to Level 3 / 4 on the second DVD. When I did, the results really started to kick in and I couldn’t believe the changes.
After 90 days of Power 90, I weighed 197 lbs and I now weigh 191 lbs.; I easily fit into a size 34 pair of pants with plenty of room to spare and I now wear Medium/Long shirts (before Power 90, I wore XL/Long shirts and sweaters). My blood pressure is now a consistent 120/80, and I no longer have those moments when I feel like I am going to pass out. My resting heart rate is down to an unbelievable 52 and I also have more energy now than I can ever remember having at any other point in my life. What is really cool is when other people see how in shape I am and comment about how incredible I look. I even had one of the girls at REI close her cash register and walk me to the door so she could ask me what my secret was for staying in such great shape and looking so good. Of course I told her about Power 90. After spending 15 minutes talking with me and seeing my results, she told me she was definitely going to buy the program herself.
